Police Services Unit Supervisor Kelly Brown has been a part of the Champaign Police Department for more than 26 years. In that time, she has seen many changes in her work and workplace, ranging from enhanced building security features to ever-changing technology and more comfortable staff uniforms. What has not changed, though, is her passion for her job and dedication to the City she serves. She shared her experiences and enthusiasm with a group of over a dozen individuals who came out to the Police Services Representative information session on May 24, 2022, at the Champaign Police Department.
The session was an opportunity for interested individuals to learn more about the position, the department and City, and the hiring process. Kelly led the presentation that covered numerous topics, such as the department’s history, job duties, salary and benefits, training schedule, and the selection process. Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions. Liz Borman from the Human Resources Department also attended.
