Keep Champaign Beautiful coordinated another cleanup in two areas of town on May 4, 2022. The first location was along Boardwalk, south of Interstate Drive. The second was further down Interstate Drive between Neil & Prospect. Approximately ten volunteers participated in the cleanup, including five volunteers from Meijer. Public Works also assisted with the effort. Approximately 35 bags of litter were collected. A continuing monthly cleanup has been helping with the reduction of trash in the area. Keep Champaign Beautiful hopes this trend continues throughout the year and in more places across the city. It is pleasant to see the impact a few hours can make on a neighborhood.
