On January 12, the Champaign County Community Coalition hosted their monthly meeting via Zoom. Law enforcement leadership from Champaign, Urbana, the Sheriff’s Dept., and U of I and Parkland Police Depts. shared updates regarding community violence as well as community engagement initiatives like Shop With A Cop. There were also community updates from LIFT Champaign program, Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club, and the U of I’s Director of Community Development and Engagement. Attendees were also invited to the upcoming MLK Countywide Celebration and other community events in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In the future, you can watch the meeting here.
