The City of Champaign Public Works Department will be performing pavement grinding activities on Prospect Avenue between Springfield Avenue and Kirby Avenue. This work will occur between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, and between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16. This work will address some of the pavement heaving that has been noticed. The work is scheduled at this time to have the least impact on rush hour traffic and to reduce traffic safety hazards within the work zone.
