CU Better together is a collaboration of organizations whose goal is to support families with school aged children by reducing food insecurity during COVID19. Meals are provided to families in need and distributed via the children’s school.

One of the Stratton Elementary social workers stated “Because of this grant we are serving more families. It is allowing us to provide fresh food, staples and seasonings that we can’t get from the Foodbank, and give folks food choice. We also try to get cuts of meat, fruits, and vegetables that would be more familiar to the immigrants we are serving.”

Another food security initiative funded with this COVID Relief Grant are the Early Childhood Home Visiting Consortium that provides food, diapers and other necessities to families with small children.
