Champaign Police Investigating Shooting

On June 2, 2020, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Champaign Police responded to the 300 block of West Bradley Avenue for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers began canvassing the area and identified a scene consistent with gunfire. Officers were informed at approximately 10:53 p.m. a 39-year-old male arrived at a local hospital by personal transport with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper left arm. A second victim, a 33-year-old male, also arrived at a local hospital with injuries sustained from being struck in the face with a handgun causing a significant laceration.

Any resident or business in the nearby area with exterior surveillance camera systems is encouraged to contact the police department.  It is believed video footage may be of investigative assistance.

Champaign Police are processing information and evidence and are actively working to identify the circumstances leading up to the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time. Future updates may be provided as they become available.
