Champaign Police Investigating Shooting

On May 27, 2020, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Champaign Police responded to a local hospital after being notified a 30-year-old male arrived with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The incident is believed to have occurred in the area of E Bradley Avenue and N Walnut Street.

The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was traveling inside a vehicle when another vehicle approached and fired, striking the victim before fleeing the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time. Future updates may be provided as they become available.
