Champaign Police Investigating Shooting

 On Nov. 21, 2019, at approximately 10:31 p.m., Champaign Police received reports of shots heard in the area of State Street and Bradley Avenue. Upon arrival, officers began searching for a scene when they were notified three male shooting victims, ages 19, 19 and 20, arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicle. Two victims arrived with gunshot wounds considered to be serious. A third victim was treated and released.

At approximately 10: 55 p.m., officers located a scene in the 600 block of Alabama Avenue consistent with a shooting and began processing it for evidence. A firearm, shell casings and cannabis were recovered. The preliminary investigation suggests the suspect(s) fired towards a vehicle, striking the victims and the vehicle multiple times. The vehicle the victims arrived at the hospital in had damage consistent with gunfire.

There is currently no available suspect information and no arrests have been made at this time. The investigation continues and future updates may be provided as they become available.
