The City of Champaign is sharing the attached press release on behalf of the Illinois Department of Transportation regarding the Bradley Avenue bridge project.
Bradley Avenue work zone to expand again Sept. 18 Bluegrass Lane intersection to close for two weeks
The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that the Bluegrass Lane intersection just west of the Bradley Avenue bridge reconstruction work zone closes Wednesday, Sept. 18. The closure is necessary for the installation of new storm sewers, curbs and gutters, and pavement. Work at the intersection is expected to last two weeks. Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
