The Human Relations Commission (HRC) invited the Regional Planning Commission (RPC) and the Champaign Police Department to provide program information at their January 7 meeting. The RPC introduced the Young Adult Reentry Program. This program focuses on creating new pathways to adulthood by providing young adults with the tools and skills to be self sufficient. These include acquiring industry recognized credentials, obtaining and retaining living wage jobs, and developing personal pathways that result in a stable life and civic engagement.
Deputy Chief Troy Daniels from the Police Department also presented at the HRC meeting. He provided the Commission with an overview of the Use of Force Board.
