City of Champaign staff will coordinate and host America Recycles Day @ Boneyard Creek on Saturday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to Noon. This year’s community event will be geared towards cleaning up debris from near the Boneyard Creek. A free pizza lunch will be provided immediately following the litter cleanup event.
For planning purposes, individuals and groups interested in volunteering to pick up litter at the event are asked to pre-register at champaignil.gov/ard.
America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Each Keep America Beautiful affiliate community hosts an event in early November tailored to their unique needs. The local event is an opportunity to raise awareness for the national America Recycles Day effort.
