Exterior City Building Work to Close Parking Spaces on Chester St.
On Saturday, October 21, 2017 the City of Champaign Public Works Department will be completing exterior building work on the north side of the City Building at 102 N Neil St. (Chester St. side).
To facilitate the work, which will require the use of a lift truck, the metered parking spaces on the south side of the street will be blocked off before 9:00p.m. on Thursday, October 19.
Additional signage will be posted on the reserved parking space for the City Manager and the handicap accessible space, which will not be available for parking after 5:00p.m. on Friday, October 20.
Vehicles occupying any of the spaces adjacent to the City Building will be towed starting at 6:00a.m. on Saturday, October 21. Vehicles will be relocated at the owner’s expense.
The City of Champaign appreciates the cooperation of the public in complying with the posted no parking signs.
