The Champaign City Council met September 26 & 27, 2017, to update their vision and goals for the City’s future. Over two nights, the Council met and brainstormed ideas and priorities for the City to work towards over the next two years. University of Illinois Extension State Specialist Nancy Ouedraogo facilitated the meetings and members of the Executive Management Team and the Township Supervisor assisted as technical advisors. During their meetings, Council Members worked towards developing consensus on goals related to items like economic development, public safety, neighborhood wellness, public infrastructure, and more. The City Administration will continue to work with the Council to further refine their goals, strategic initiatives, and key projects.
