City Street Lights Under Repair (Potential Outage Tonight)

The Public Works Department is providing the following information received from Ameren earlier today. Around noon, Ameren was performing routine maintenance on street lights in the Bradley-Neil-Randolph-State-Harris corridor (south of Bradley – east of Harris – west of Neil – north of Maple). While performing the work, an issue with a City meter-socket was discovered when it fell apart upon removal. This immediately impacted all lights within the boundaries of the corridor. In response, Public Works electricians were dispatched to resolve the issue and replace the meter-socket. Staff will continue performing this work until the issue is resolved and street lights are back on; however, it is possible that street lights in that corridor will not be functioning tonight. A map is attached depicting the impacted area.
