Staff from the Neighborhood Services and Public Works Departments held the City’s annual neighborhood clean up drop off event on Saturday, July 15 and 17 at the Public Works facility. Just over 6,500 postcard vouchers were mailed out to eligible households throughout Champaign. Eligible areas include Planning Area 1, 2, 7, 8, 14 and parts of Planning Areas 4 and 9. A breakdown of participation in the drop off event by Planning Area is as follows:

In addition to the drop off event, the clean up included a curb-side pick up for seniors and people with disabilities. Public Works staff picked up items from eligible households on Monday, July 17 and 24. Participation for the pick up was capped at 100 households.
