No Parking at the Black Dog Traffic Circle
East of the intersection of Main and Chestnut Streets, there is a traffic circle that allows access to the Depot Building, Black Dog Restaurant, etc. While there are No Parking signs around much of the outside curb of the traffic circle, Champaign Police report that vehicles are parking along the landscaping at the center of the circle. These parked vehicles hinder traffic flow around the circle. For this reason, new “No Parking” signs will be installed just beneath the directional signs at each corner of the landscaping feature at the center of the circle. In addition, one “No Parking” sign will be added on the light pole located on the south side of the traffic circle.
