As part of the City’s 2017 Concrete Street Improvements Project, the pavement on Southmoor Drive from Rebecca Drive to Brett Drive is being reconstructed. The City’s contractor for the project, Otto Baum Company, will continue work beginning Monday, July 10, 2017, weather permitting.
Beginning Monday, July 10, Southmoor Drive will be closed from the east half of the intersection of Scottsdale Drive to the west half of the intersection of Rebecca Drive. Both intersections will have one lane open to traffic. This section of Southmoor Drive will be reopened Monday, July 17, weather permitting.
Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to close driveways to complete the work. Advanced notice will be given at least 48 hours prior to closure of driveways. Residents may not have access to driveways for up to seven days.
Please pay close attention to construction signs, traffic control devices and marked detours. Please do not park on the street near the construction site or in areas that are posted “No Parking.” Please proceed cautiously through construction zones and use alternate routes whenever possible.
