New Traffic Control Order to Deter Engine Braking on Staley Road
A new Traffic Control Order was recently approved by the City Manager which will prohibit large trucks traveling on Staley Road from using engine braking as a way to decelerate. This type of braking, sometimes called “Jake Braking”, causes loud noises and vibrations and has been a nuisance to residents in the area for a number of years. Upon installation of the sign, police officers will be able to enforce this prohibition.
