Public Invited to Recognize a City Employee with a “Champaign TOAST”

In association with Public Service Recognition Week, the City of Champaign is promoting an easy way for the public to acknowledge City employees who go above and beyond the call of duty.  Members of the public who want to recognize the exceptional service provided by City staff can do so by sending the employee a “Champaign TOAST.”  Simply complete a short form on the City’s website at champaignil.gov/toast.   Public submissions are reviewed and routed to the employee and his/her supervisor.

“TOAST stands for ‘Thanks for your Outstanding Act of Service Today,’ and is an easy way for the public to send a note of thanks to City staff,” reports Communications Manager Jeff Hamilton.  “We realize that the public may not even know the name of the individual they want to acknowledge, and that’s OK.  Simply provide as much information as you can on the form and we’ll work to make sure the right person is recognized.”
