At the April 4 joint meeting between Continuum of Care and Council of Service Providers to the Homeless, Community Development Specialist Janel Gomez presented the draft FY 2017/18 Annual Action Plan and draft HOME Amendment, which would increase the number of households receiving tenant based rental assistance. The HOME funds would also provide additional financial resources to build or purchase and rehab up to four homes through Habitat for Humanity and provide down payment assistance through the Community Reinvestment Group & Navicore.
Neighborhood Programs Manager Kerri Spear then shared information on the Safety Net Revolving Program that could be made available with Council direction for local emergency or affordable housing providers during times of financial crisis. Kerri invited the approximately 30 members present to attend and comment during the April 11 Study Session, where these topics will be presented before the City Council.
