Champaign Fire Department conducted ice rescue training December 20, 21, and 22 at Kaufman Lake, 2702 W. Springfield Avenue. Fire crews participated in skill stations designed to prompt rescuers to observe ice conditions and make appropriate scene size-ups, perform surface rescues, and safely remove victims from the ice.
