The City of Champaign received two submissions in response to the Bristol Place Neighborhood Redevelopment Master Developer RFQ by the June 22, 2016, deadline. City staff representing the Neighborhood Services, Finance, Planning and Development, and Public Works Departments reviewed the submissions with the Bristol Place Steering Committee. The next steps include reviewing written questions and responses prior to interviews on July 21. Information from the interviews, questions, and financial review will then allow staff to prepare a recommendation on selecting the “developer of record” during study session meetings on August 9, 2016, with the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners and the Champaign City Council. If the City Council and the Board are agreeable with the recommendation, staff will then begin negotiating an agreement with the developer.
