On this special 50th episode of Champaign Connection, we broke out of the studio to visit the beautiful Boneyard Creek Second Street Reach where we learned about the City’s many successful stormwater management projects, and what new stormwater projects are on the horizon. Then it was back to the studio where we learned about the many tools the City uses to help stimulate economic growth and neighborhood revitalization in our community. We discovered what exactly a Tax Increment Financing District (TIF) and Enterprise Zone are, and how these two tools benefit the entire City. Finally, on this episode, we went behind the scenes at the METCAD 911 dispatch center and learned about another way to summon for help during an emergency.
