In order to repair a sanitary sewer interceptor, Urbana Champaign Sanitary District and Stark Excavating will be closing lanes at the intersection of Neil and Columbia:
– Northbound and southbound Neil Street traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Lanes will shift near the intersection of Columbia Avenue.
– Eastbound Columbia Avenue traffic will be detoured at the intersection of Neil Street. Vehicles will turn either north or south onto Neil Street.
These lane closures will start on Monday, February 29, 2016 and will reopen on Monday, March 7, 2016.
