Catch another exciting episode of the multiple-award winning show Champaign Connection, running now through the end of March. On this episode:
Winter is slowly coming to an end and soon spring will be here, now’s the time to start thinking about “Spring Cleaning”. Yes, that’s right “Spring Cleaning,” but this is not your typical spring cleaning. Deputy Fire Marshal Randy Smith discusses how to properly store or eliminate household chemicals. Plus, we should all have and practice a fire escape plan, but do you also think about how to keep your escape route free from obstructions that may prevent not only your safety but also the safety of the firefighters.
And, we’ll continue our “Spring Cleaning” and go outdoors and learn ways we can keep Boneyard Creek and other natural resources beautiful, clean, and healthy. We’ll discover why it’s important to annually clean the creek and watershed and how volunteers can help during the Boneyard Creek Community Day Event coming in April.
Plus, would you think of Champaign County as a destination for tourist? The answer is yes! Champaign County has a lot to offer, great entertainment, delicious food, academic excellence, and a diverse business community. We’ll discover why the City supports Visit Champaign County and how tourism is a great economic development tool for the City.
