Neighborhood Code Compliance began Private Certified Housing inspections on September 8, 2015. A total of 53 private certified housing facilities are scheduled to be inspected during the 2015/2016 cycle under contract with the University of Illinois Housing office.
The initial inspections for all the facilities will be complete by October 20, 2015. Property Maintenance Inspectors will be checking for violations of the City Property Maintenance Code, International Fire Code, and Certified Housing requirements.
