Champaign Fire Department Welcomes Pink Heals

The Champaign Fire Department is excited to announce that tomorrow, July 21, 2015, the Pink Heals non-profit organization will visit Champaign as part of their cross-country road trip promoting awareness of women’s issues. The Champaign Fire Department is partnering with them on several activities throughout the day. The Pink Heals organization is known for their unique pink fire engines, turnout gear, and other equipment. Another unique thing they are known for is allowing people to use magic markers to write personalized messages, dedications, or other words of encouragement on the pink fire engines. To show CFD’s support for their cause, all Champaign firefighters will be wearing pink shirts MondayWednesday as well.
