Attempt to Identify Bank Robbery Suspect

ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY:  Police Seek the Public’s Help in Identifying Bank Robbery Suspect

On June 5 at approximately 9:17 AM, Champaign Police responded to a reported bank robbery at First Financial Bank, located at 1611 S. Prospect Avenue. Upon arrival, it was determined that a robbery had occurred and an undetermined amount of currency was taken from the business.  No injuries were reported by bank employees.

According to banking staff, the suspect entered First Financial and demanded money, or else he would do bodily harm to the teller. The teller gave the suspect an undetermined amount of currency and the suspect fled on foot, and was last seen going westbound.

The robbery suspect is described as a Black male in his early twenties, approximately 5’08”- 5’09” in height, weighing approximately 200-220 pounds, and having a thin mustache. The suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark gray jeans, and tan work boots.
