Champaign Police Investigate Two Shootings

The Champaign Police Department is currently investigating two shootings that occurred early Saturday morning.

The first shooting occurred On October 25, 2014, in the 900 block of W. Bradley Avenue at approximately 2:14 AM. Officers responded to the area and located a 35 year-old male gunshot victim, who was found lying unresponsive on the ground. He was transported by ambulance to Carle Foundation Hospital for life-threatening injuries.

While investigating this incident, officers were dispatched to a second shooting in the area of Summit Ridge and Hedge Road at approximately 3:53 AM. Upon arrival, officers were notified that a 24 year-old male shooting victim had left the scene, and was transported by car to Carle Foundation Hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The Champaign Police Department is currently searching for the suspect(s) involved in these shootings, which may be related, and are asking for information from the public.
