Public Works September Service Requests

The Public Works Department saw a decrease in service requests submitted during the month of September. Citizens and City staff submitted 265 total requests during September 2013. The count decreased by 77 (-22%) compared to the 342 requests that were received during the month of August. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.

Twenty (8%) of the total number of service requests were submitted through SeeClickFix, a mobile phone application.

Service Requests by Category for September 2013

The largest number of calls, 61, fell under the “miscellaneous” category which is responded to by the Sewer crew. Forestry calls were second in number with 48. Electrical issues involving traffic signals and streetlights were third with 32 service requests. 

The most requested service was for dead animal pickup with 29 requests. The second most frequent call was requesting tree inspections with 16 requests. Sewer backup calls and replacement of burnt out streetlight lamps were tied for third with 15 requests each.
