Protecting the Mahomet Aquifer from the threat of a proposed PCB landfill near Clinton was the subject of a town hall meeting on May 18th at the Beckman Institute Auditorium on the University of Illinois campus. Assistant City Attorney, Joe Hooker, who led the discussion, explained how the coalition of local governments will pursue, in legal efforts, to oppose the Clinton landfill. The auditorium was nearly full of concerned residents from different communities in Central Illinois.
