Premise Alert

The Illinois Premise Alert Program is a communication support for persons with special needs and is designed to enhance first responder-citizen relationships.

Through the Premise Alert Program, residents can inform local police and fire departments if they or a family member require special assistance or treatment in an at-home emergency. This can be a lifesaver for individuals with autism, Alzheimer’s, or for individuals with visual or physical impairments.

Telecommunicators at the METCAD 9-1-1 center will have access to this information and will share it with police, firefighters and paramedics to allow for a more efficient emergency response and to offer greater support to the well-being of the individual needing assistance.

Enrolling is simple.  Click the link below to complete an interest card and within a few days, you will receive a telephone call from a volunteer who will gather the information needed for the Premise Alert Program.  They will then forward this information to METCAD 9-1-1.

Forms may also be picked up at your local police or fire department or METCAD 9-1-1 office.  In order to maintain accurate and timely information, citizens are asked to verify their information annually.
