Liquor Code Amendments
On April 17, 2018, the Champaign City Council approved Council Bill 2018-045, which amended Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code (Liquor Ordinance). The approved amendments implemented a series of changes to the City’s policies and procedure related to alcoholic liquor administration and regulation.
Due to the significant number of amendments, it will take a certain amount of time for the City’s vendor to update the Champaign Municipal Code, which is available online through Municode. It is important for licensees and the public to be aware of the Ordinance changes made by Council Bill 2018-045, when reviewing the online Liquor Ordinance (Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code). The City is working with Municode to update the online Liquor Ordinance as quickly and efficiently as possible.
