About the Human Resources Department

The Human Resources Department provides leadership in the management of all human resource areas, including employee recruitment and retention, employee training, benefits, compensation, labor relations, regulatory compliance, safety, Equal Employment Opportunity compliance, workers’ compensation, property and casualty insurance, and claims management.

The Human Resources Department also provides staff support for the three-member Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
