On February 21, 2019, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Champaign Police responded to the 2400 block of North Neil Street after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers did not locate a victim but did locate evidence that a shooting had taken place. Police were later informed that a 33-year-old male had arrived at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries from being shot as did a 24-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries.
Champaign Police are processing information and evidence from the incident and are actively working to identify the circumstances leading up to the incident. This investigation is in the initial stages, but preliminary information suggests this was not a random act. There is currently no available suspect information.

Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
