Trades & Subcontractors and interested parties are invited to attend
The City of Champaign is pleased to announce that AHDVS, LLC, and Carlson Construction will be hosting a workshop on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 to continue conversations with interested contractors/subcontractors for the Bristol Place bidding. The workshop will start with a presentation by Jim Roberts of ADHVS, LLC, and then allow time for the contractors to meet individually with the developer and general contractor, Carlson Construction. Local minority, women, disadvantaged and veteran business enterprises are encouraged to attend and submit proposals for the project. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Champaign Public Library-Robeson Pavilion Room C, 200 W. Green Street, Champaign, IL, 61820 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Construction of Bristol Place is on track for an early 2020 completion. The City is focused on the significant economic impact this project will provide for our community. The next step is to award nearly $12 million of construction contracts, including building 64 single-family homes and 26 townhome units. The City’s development agreement includes a goal for the developer to award 30% of the construction contracts to qualified local minority, women, disadvantaged and/or veteran business enterprises. The agreement also requires the development team to ensure at least ten new local hires from the community, with preference given to Bristol Place residents that were displaced by this redevelopment.
