This evening, at approximately 8:44 p.m., Champaign Police responded to the 400 block of West Vine Street after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a 38-year-old male victim with life-threatening injuries. The victim succumbed to his injuries a short time later at a local hospital.
Champaign Police are processing evidence from the scene and actively working to identify the circumstances leading up to the incident. There is no suspect information available at this time.
