In order to complete an emergency water valve repair, Illinois American Water Company and Cross Construction have closed a southbound lane of First Street between Park Street and University Avenue. The closure began on Wednesday, October 24, and will reopen on Monday, October 29, weather permitting. During the closure, both a northbound lane and a southbound lane will remain open.
