The Champaign Fire Department will be training at Market Place Mall, 2000 N. Neil Street, in the former Bergner’s space, on October 16, 17 and 18. There will be three sessions daily at 7:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. to allow for all on-duty crews to rotate through the skill stations.
Fire department instructors will lead skill stations that reinforce firefighter self-rescue techniques. Fire crews will also apply rope-assisted search procedures in the large-area structure.
