Recently, air conditioning units failed in two households in which occupants had respiratory conditions requiring conditioned air. The units were old and beyond repair, and the homeowners could not afford to replace them. City staff was able to assist by replacing the air conditioning units through the Home Accessibility Retrofit Program. This program is available to eligible citizens, and is provided through the Programs Division of the Neighborhood Services Department.
