In order to install new gas main and services, Ameren Illinois and KS Energy will be closing one eastbound lane of Kirby Avenue between Cambridge Drive and Prospect Avenue (eastbound traffic reduced to one lane). The closure will begin on Thursday, May 31 and is expected to be reopened to traffic by Friday, August 17.
The lane closure will move east and west as the construction location shifts. For the majority of the project, the lane will be reopened over weekends. During pavement patching operations, the lane may remain closed throughout the weekend.
