Annual Asphalt Project
Starting Wednesday, May 30, Cross Construction Company will begin work on the City’s annual asphalt paving project.
The first phase of work will take place in the following locations
- Locust Street from Armory Avenue to Green Street
- Oak Street from Armory Avenue to John Street
- Chalmers Street from Oak Street to First Street.
Work will consist of milling off the existing asphalt surface, paving two layers of new asphalt, and applying new pavement markings. The roads will be open to through traffic, however through traffic is urged to take alternate routes. Work is scheduled to be complete by June 29.
Also, Cross Construction will be constructing new ADA sidewalk ramps on Marketview Drive at Moreland Blvd. This work is scheduled to be completed in one week.
