As part of the City’s 2018 Concrete Street Improvements Project, the pavement on Mattis Avenue, from Kirby Avenue to Windsor Road, will be patched. The City’s contractor for the project, Kinney Contractors, will begin work; weather permitting, Monday, May 21, 2018.
The two northbound lanes of Mattis Avenue will be closed and worked on first. Two lanes of traffic, one in each direction, will be maintained in the two southbound lanes
Due to the nature of the work it may be necessary to close driveways to complete the work. Advanced notice will be given at least 48 hours prior to closure of a driveway. Residents may not have access to their driveways for up to 7 days. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.
Please pay close attention to construction signs, traffic control devices, and marked detours. Please do not park on the street near the construction site or in areas that are posted “No Parking.” Please proceed cautiously through construction zones and use alternate routes whenever possible. The contractor will attempt to complete construction activities as soon as possible to minimize any inconvenience to the residents in the areas of construction.
