The Champaign Fire Department responded to a working fire at 3322 Stoneway Court, Friday, December 15, 2017, at 3:26 a.m. Upon arrival on the scene, fire crews found a vehicle on fire outside the residence beginning to extend into the home. Suppression efforts began immediately.
Firefighters deployed hose lines and quickly extinguished the vehicle fire and its extension into the home. No injuries were reported to occupants or firefighters.
Investigators have determined the fire was incendiary and originated from the vehicle. Champaign Police Department was on the scene working with fire investigators.
