Police Ask for Assistance in Homicide Investigation

On November 25, 2017 at approximately 4:10 AM, Champaign Police Officers responded to the 2500 block of W. Springfield Ave., after receiving a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police found a 28-year-old male that had sustained a gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he would later succumb to his injuries.

Champaign Police are actively investigating this incident. Detectives are requesting to speak with anyone who was present at the scene, and will arrange to speak privately with anyone with information about the shooting.  Please contact the Champaign Police Investigations Division at       217-351-4545.

Crime Stoppers will pay a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
