ICD Ironhorse recently completed demolition of the fire damaged structure located at 506 N. Ash. The property has been vacant and boarded since April 2006. Susan Jones, Property Maintenance Inspector, contacted the owner in June of 2015 to register the property as a Vacant Nuisance Residential Building. Unfortunately, the owner did not complete a property rehabilitation. A search warrant was completed in July 2016 and inspected by Joe Lewis, Rehabilitation Technician, and Susan Jones. Joe Lewis’ inspection found the property to be cost prohibitive for rehabilitation. A legal referral was submitted to obtain a Notice to Remediate for demolition based on the search warrant. Five bids were submitted on May 24 and ICD Ironhorse was the low bidder. Demolition took place in the last week in June.
