2017 Concrete Street Improvements Project – Southmoor Drive
As part of the City’s 2017 Concrete Street Improvements Project, the pavement on Southmoor Drive from Rebecca Drive to Brett Drive will be reconstructed. The City’s contractor for the project, Otto Baum Company, will continue work; weather permitting, Monday, June 19.
Beginning Monday, June 19, weather permitting, Southmoor Drive will be closed from 2512 Southmoor Drive to the west half of the intersection of Rugby Drive. The east half of the intersection of Rugby Drive at Southmoor Drive will remain open. Weather permitting, this section of Southmoor Drive will be reopened Monday, June 26.
Due to the nature of the work it will be necessary to close driveways to complete the work. Advanced notice will be given at least 48 hours prior to closure of driveways. Residents may not have access to driveways for up to 7 days.
Please pay close attention to construction signs, traffic control devices and marked detours. Please do not park on the street near the construction site or in areas that are posted “No Parking.” Please proceed cautiously through construction zones and use alternate routes whenever possible. The contractor will attempt to complete construction activities as soon as possible to minimize any inconvenience to the residents in the areas of construction.
