As part of the City’s 2017 Concrete Street Improvements Project, the pavement on Southmoor Drive from Rebecca Drive to Brett Drive will be reconstructed. The City’s contractor for the project, Otto Baum Company, will continue work; weather permitting, Monday, June 12, 2017.
Beginning Monday, June 12, weather permitting, Southmoor Drive will be closed from the east half of the intersection of Brett Drive to 2512 Southmoor Drive. The west half of the intersection of Brett Drive at Southmoor Drive will remain open. The 2600 block of Southmoor Drive will be accessible by traveling south on Brett Drive to Southmoor Drive. Weather permitting, this section of Southmoor Drive will be reopened Monday, June 19.
Due to the nature of the work it will be necessary to close driveways to complete the work. Advanced notice will be given at least 48 hours prior to closure of driveways. Residents may not have access to driveways for up to seven days.
Please pay close attention to construction signs, traffic control devices and marked detours. Please do not park on the street near the construction site or in areas that are posted “No Parking.” Please proceed cautiously through construction zones and use alternate routes whenever possible.
