Champaign’s Land Connection Farmers’ Market kicked off their third season on Tuesday, May 16. Planning Staff was at the Community Tent on May 30 for the first Market Seedlings Event for kids. Staff passed out pollinator and vegetable seed packets, and taught kids how to plant seeds. The City’s recycling programs were also promoted.
Come out and support our local farmers, small businesses and the Land Connection every Tuesday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Spend the afternoon shopping, listening to local musicians and talking to community groups. The Land Connection continues to offer their SNAP double matching program. City Staff will also be at the Farmers’ Market Community Tent on July 25, September 26 and October 31.
