Neighborhood Coordination Staff attended the kickoff meeting for the West Clark Park neighborhood group, held at Dr. Howard Elementary School on May 2. The boundaries for the newly formed group are as follows: University Street on north, West Clark on the south, Elmwood on the west, and Willis on the east. The group began the organizing process after a spate of auto and home burglaries within the area. At the initial meeting, Champaign Police provided an update on crime statistics for the area and provided proactive steps citizens could take to protect themselves.
